Four Motets For The Season Of Lent

These Bach cantatas are two of many people’s favourites with moods ranging from total despair to utter joy, with wonderful arias and some of his best choruses well fortified by three trumpets and drums. Poulenc’s four motets for Lent are some of his most tender music, and an intimate and intense commentary on the Passion story.
